One of ANADA Limited’s priorities is making furniture that is sustainable, which overall means we develop furniture that is designed, manufactured, and used in a way that has minimal negative impact on the environment and society, as well as supporting economies and livelihoods for communities. We call this Sustainable for All. ANADA Limited always tries to consider the entire lifecycle of the furniture, from raw materials to end-use, while also aiming to reduce resource consumption, waste generation, and harmful emissions as we build our pieces.

To begin, we focus heavily on sustainable furniture that is made from responsibly sourced, renewable, and recycled materials, including from Indonesian certified forests, reclaimed timber, and also using materials such as bamboo dan natural fibres that are highly regenerative. Through our manufacturing process we also put emphasis on energy efficiency, non-toxic materials, and also waste reduction efforts.

As our Indonesian sustainable furniture is made from reclaimed and certified hardwoods, its lifecycle is considerably long, reducing the need for replacement and therefore decreasing consumption. We also work alongside local manufacturers and suppliers, and do so ensuring ethical and fair approaches to employment and contracting – and area of sustainable furniture production that is often overlooked in Indonesia. Part of our focus is to bring these local manufacturers along for the ride, showing them the value (both financially and environmentally) of improving sustainable practices and signing on to the use of such mechanisms as certified timber in Indonesia.

Sustainable furniture in Indonesia also means a focus on packaging, and we try to ship all of our goods well-protected but also using recyclable or recycled materials. Finally, we also utilise much of our timber waste for an array of uses, including making handicrafts for offcuts, or offering sawdust for compost and other ideas.

We hope that the choice to use ANADA Limited’s sustainable furniture for your projects across Indonesia and the world will contribute to a greener future, and continue to support environmentally responsible practices and reduce the overall ecological footprint of the furniture industry across the globe.
